Housing and Homeless Navigation Services

MHC's primary service is working one-on-one with mountain residents who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness.

The process starts with a call to our helpline (909-713-4099) or when we receive an intake form (accessed by clicking on "I Neew Help" on our home page.)

Once eligibility is determined and the need defined, one of our compassionate and skilled housing navigators will contact the household in need and begin a dialogue to determine how best we can help.

Mountain Homeless Coalition is committed to following the Housing First model.  Housing First is a homeless assistance approach that prioritizes providing or maintaining permanent housing to people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, thus ending their homelessness and serving as a stable place from where they can pursue personal goals and improve their quality of life.

Georgia Street Cabins

In partnership with the state’s Project Homekey and the Housing Authority of San Bernardino County, Mountain Homeless Coalition purchased property in Big Bear Lake in November, 2020. The property is comprised of eight units and houses our clients, both individuals and families, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

If you are homeless or at risk, please contact us at

909-713-4099  or complete our application to be placed on a waitlist for future occupancy.

Student Food Program

MHC provides snacks to our local schools in the Rim of the World Unified school district to help supplement what many families struggle to buy.
